These painted Mexican buses are everywhere in the city. This photo does not do them justice - they're covered in neon lights and paintings of rock stars, saints and half naked women. Our friend Kirk Zigler was our kindly host in Panama City (or "Panama," as it is called.)  A very good host was he.

Panama city at sundown. The SAGA WIND traverses the Canal.
The San Miguel lock of the Panama Canal. This type of ship, called the "Panamax", was created to exactly fit the Canal - there's only about a foot of clearance on either side! This one is filled with over 5000 Japanese cars bound for the East Coast of the U.S.
This building does not appear to be finished.Kirk and Pete admire the eclectic Panama architecture.
